STEVE LONG - President & CEO

STEVE LONG

President & CEO

Steve is accountable for the overall operational and financial performance of the company, and for ensuring that every aspect of our business is geared toward efficiently and effectively meeting client requirements. He has over 12 years of project, program and general management experience in software development companies. Prior to his promotion to President, Steve was General Manager for Syscon’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and played a critical role in the successful delivery of the company’s project with Her Majesty’s Prison Service in England and Wales. Before joining Syscon, Steve served as General Manager for the Core Group, a company that specializes in dynamic computer simulation modeling, and before that various leadership roles for Xelector Plc. Steve holds a B.S. in Applied Biology from the University of Leeds, a Ph.D. and D.I.C. from London’s Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, and a diploma in Applied Project Management from the University of Cork. Steve is also a Certified Project Management Professional with the International Project Management Association.

BOB ELSON - SVP, Sales

SVP, Sales

Bob is responsible for global sales performance and building key market relationships to drive our growth. He has a wealth of experience, having been involved in the information technology industry for 33 years, the last 25 of which have been in senior management roles. Bob has been involved in the automation of the public safety and justice industries for the last 19 years. Previously, Bob held senior sales and general management roles with OCS Technologies, a provider of public safety solutions and Data General Corporation, an IT company that provided a wide range of hardware, software and services. Bob holds an HNC in Computer Engineering from Peoples College, Nottingham, UK.

LEE MAN - CFO

CFO

Lee is responsible for the financial stewardship of the company, driving organizational goals and results with proactive financial support and timely financial information. Lee brings over 20 years of corporate finance experience to Syscon with more than 10 of those in technology. He has worked for Sierra Systems, Adaptec, Deloitte and Touche and a Fortune 10 company, and has held several roles including Director of Finance, Controller and independent consultant. A true global citizen, Lee has lived in British Columbia, Silicon Valley, Hong Kong and Shanghai. He is a Chartered Account (CA) and a UBC graduate with a B.Comm in Finance.

KEN MCGOVERN - VP, Marketing

Ken is responsible for market and product strategy, as well as corporate marketing. He has more than 15 years of software industry experience, with an emphasis on market and product strategy, product management and marketing. Prior to joining Syscon, Ken served as VP, Product Management for ACL Services, the leading provider of data analytic tools for the global audit profession, and as Director of Product Marketing for two leading business intelligence software companies, Business Objects and Crystal Decisions. Ken received his BA in political science and economics from the University of Arizona, and his MBA from the University of British Columbia.

STUART FALCONER - COO & VP, Professional Services

STUART FALCONER

COO & VP, Professional Services

Stuart is responsible for on-time, on-budget delivery of all client projects, and ensuring that the team adheres to the highest standards of project management. He has more than 15 years of software-based professional services and project management experience. He has successfully run several multi-million dollar projects in North America and internationally, implemented PMO and best practices programs and managed development teams for commercial software delivery. His experience includes Vice President, Professional Services for Open Solutions (financial services), Development Director for Electronic Arts (NBA 360), and Director, Professional Services for Fincentric (financial services). Stuart holds a B.Comm from the University of Calgary and McGill University, an MBA from the University of British Columbia, and has a Certified Project Management Professional designation.
